The Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) has announced that the AHME Scholarship 2026 program is now accepting applications from eligible college students in the Philippines. This scholarship aims to support students for the 2026-2027 school year.

AHME Scholarship 2026

The AHME Scholarship 2026 program is open to apply for all eligible Incoming Freshmen taking up Four(4) – or Five (5) Year undergraduate (or Bachelor’s Degree).

AHME Scholarship Benefits

The AHME Scholarship provides a monthly financial grant of ₱40,000 to each AHME Scholar. This amount covers tuition fees, books, living expenses, and transportation, offering comprehensive support throughout the academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao)
  • Must be enrolled in a BARMM Priority Program
  • Be a Senior High School or ALS graduate
  • Not receive any other scholarships
  • Belong to the underprivileged, marginalized, or low-income sectors
    • Have a combined gross annual income of ₱400,000 or less
    • Be an orphan,
    • A child of a solo parent,
    • A person with disability (PWD) or a child of a PWD;
    • A member of an Indigenous People (IP) community, or a child of an IP Parent
    • Parents is a senior citizen; or
    • An Internally Displaced Person (IDP)

AHME Scholarship Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Citizenship Documents

  • Original copy of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate;
  • 2 copies of 2×2 ID Picture with nametag (white background);
  • Certificate of Residency from the Barangay with Applicant’s name.

Academic Documents

  • Original / Certified True Copy pf Form 138 or Report Card Grade 12 for senior high school graduates;
  • ALS Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer Certificate for an Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduate.

Financial Documents

Atleast one of the following documents is required:

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of one or both parents (if working);
  • Certificate of Tax Excemption form Bureau of Internal Revenue (if non-working) with attached Affidavit of Low Income;
  • Certificate of Indigency either from his/her Barangay or DSWD/MSSD;
  • Latest copy of contract or proof of income (for children of Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) and seafarers).

Documents For Underprivileged, Disadvantaged, Marginalized, Poor and Low-income Sector or Group

Atleast one of the following documents is required:

  • Single Parent ID from the Municipal or City Social Welfare and Development Office;
  • Certification of IP Parents from the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs (MIPA)-BARMM;
  • Person with Disability (PWD) ID from the Municipal or City Social Welfare and Development Office;
  • Senior Citizen ID of Parent/s or Guardian from the Municipal or City Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA);
  • Certifications of Death of Parents or Certification of Being an Orphan from the Barangay or Municipality/City;
  • Certification of Being an IDP from the Barangay or Municipality/City.

Documents for the Combatants, Their Children, Orphans, or Surviving Spouses

  • Certification from the MILF and MNLF Peace Mechanisms that the applicant is a former combatant or his/her children;
  • Certification from MILF and MNLF Peace Mechanisms that the applicant is an orphan, his/her parent is a widow/widower due to the armed conflict, or is a surviving spouse.

Please note that all these documents must be converted in pdf format.

  • Opening Date of AHME Scholarship : April 13, 2026
  • Deadline of AHME Scholarship : May 13, 2026

How to Apply for AHME Scholarship

Follow the steps below to apply for AHME Scholarship:

  1. Prepare all the necessary documentary requirements
  2. Scan all the required documents and convert them in pdf files
  3. Open the AHME Portal link : https://ahme-mbhte.bangsamoro.gov.ph/
  4. Click on Online Application
  5. Please await the notification confirming the successful processing of your application
  6. Log in to your email, click on the vertification code sent to your inbox
  7. Fill out all the necessary fields in the application form and attach the PDF files
  8. Wait for the notification from the system of successfully applied
