DOST JLSS Scholarship 2026-2027 Online Application

The DOST JLSS Scholarship program is now open to apply for all eligible college students for Academic Year 2026–2027.
The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) aims is to provide scholarships that will finance the education of talented students who are pursuing priority degree programs in the areas of science and technology.

DOST Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS) program
DOST-SEI provides scholarships to deserving students every year. The DOST JLSS Scholarship program is open to all talented students in their third year of college and who are pursuing education in the areas of science and technology, and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified S&T human resources who can steer the country towards national progress.
There are three types of scholarships provided under this program, which are as follows:
- Merit Scholarship / NSDB / NSTA Scholarship under RA No. 2067
- RA 7687 / Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994
- RA 10612 / Fast-tracked S&T Scholarship Act of 2013
DOST JLSS Scholarship Benefits
DOST-SEI JLSS Scholars will receive the following financial support:
A. Regular Academic Year
- Tuition and Other School Fees (private HEIs): up to ₱40,000/AY
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance: ₱10,000/AY
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₱8,000/month
- Transportation Allowance: 1 economy-class roundtrip fare
- Group Accident and Health Insurance: Premium
- Thesis allowance: ₱10,000
- Research Dissemination Grant: ₱50,000
- Graduation allowance: ₱1,000
B. Mid Year Allowance (If required in the curriculum)
- Tuition and Other School Fees: up to ₱10,000
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance: ₱2,000
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₱8,000/month

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen
- Must be in good moral character and good health
Academic Qualifications
- Must be a Regular 2nd Year College Student
- Must have a GWA of atleast 83%
- May have applied for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not qualify
- May have qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail the award
Documentary Requirements
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:
- Form C – Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Form D – Certificate of Good Health
- Form E – Certificate of Program of Study and Year Level
- Form F – Certificate of Residency
- Commitment to Return of Service
- Form G1 – Merit/RA 7687
- Form G2 – RA 10612
- Form H – DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination/Award
- Form I – Signed Declaration of Applicant and the Parent/Legal Guardian/Spouse
- Any of the following copies of grades of the applicant duly signed by the University Registrar/Dean of College:
- Official Transcript of Records (TOR); OR
- True Copy of Grades (TCG); OR
- Certified Grade Report downloaded from the school portal
- Submit any or all of the following if the applicant’s program and/or school is not included in the list available in the system:
- Information about the school
- The grading system
- Proof of FAAP Level III accreditation or higher of the program of study the applicant is enrolled in from an accrediting body (PAASCU, PACUCOA, ACSCU-ACI) except for RA 10612 applicants
- Applicant’s recent picture, passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 inches x 1.4 inches)
- Applicant’s Birth Certificate
- Proof of Income
- Notarized Affidavit of Guardianship
- Applicant’s Marriage Certificate
