OWWA Scholarship 2025-2026 Online Application
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is now accepting applications for its scholarship programs for the school year 2025-2026.
OWWA announced the opening of applications for the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) through its official Facebook page.
OWWA Scholarship Overview
OWWA aims to improve the lives of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families by offering educational assistance. The scholarships available for OFW dependents include:
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
- Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
- Education and Livelihood Assistance Program (ELAP) for Dependents of Deceased OFWs
Currently, OWWA is accepting applications for the EDSP and ODSP for incoming freshmen for the 2025-2026 academic year.
EDSP (Education for Development Scholarship Program) – Category 2
Who Can Apply?
- Children or siblings of active OWWA members
- Must be incoming 2nd to 5th year college students
Qualifications:
- Must be single
- Not more than 30 years old
- General Weighted Average (GWA) must be at least 85%, with no failing grade
- Must be enrolled in a college or university in the Philippines
Scholarship Benefits:
- Php 60,000.00 per academic year
Requirements
- Proof of Identity:
- OFW: Copy of valid passport (bio/info page)
- Dependent: Valid school I.D. or any valid I.D., birth certificate or baptismal certificate
- Proof of grades from the previous school year (e.g., Form 137/138, Form 10 [TOR], Certificate of Grades)
Note: Grades from SY 2024–2025 or SY 2023–2024 are acceptable for initial submission. Final documents must be submitted upon confirmation by the OWWA Regional Welfare Office (RWO).
OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) – Category 1
Who Can Apply?
- Children or siblings of active OWWA members
- Must be incoming 1st year college students
Qualifications:
- Must be single
- Not more than 21 years old
- Monthly salary of the OFW must be USD 1,000.00 or below
- GWA must be at least 75%
- Must be enrolled in a college or university in the Philippines
Scholarship Benefits:
- Php 20,000.00 per academic year
Requirements
- Proof of Identity:
- OFW: Copy of valid passport (bio/info page)
- Dependent: Valid school I.D. or any valid I.D., birth certificate or baptismal certificate
- Proof of OFW income (e.g., OEC, payslip, employment certificate with salary info, or other valid documents showing employment and salary)
Important Notes:
- OFW and dependent identities will be verified via the Membership Processing System (MPS).
- OWWA will use the Benefits Availment Program (BAP) to ensure no duplication of scholarship availment within the family.
- Additional documents may be requested by the RWO in case of discrepancies or incomplete submissions.
OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) – Category 2
Who Can Apply?
- Children or siblings of active OWWA members
- Must be incoming 2nd to 5th year college students
Qualifications:
- Must be single
- Not more than 30 years old
- Monthly salary of the OFW must be USD 1,000.00 or below
- GWA must be at least 75%
- Must be enrolled in a college or university in the Philippines
Scholarship Benefits:
- Php 20,000.00 per academic year

Magandang araw po. Ako po ay taos-pusong humihiling ng pagkakataong makapag-avail ng inyong scholarship program. Ako po ay mula sa isang simpleng pamilya at lumaki sa hirap ng buhay. Single parent po ang aking ina, at siya lamang ang nagsusumikap upang matustusan ang aming pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan. Sa kabila ng mga hamon, patuloy po akong nagsisikap sa aking pag-aaral dahil naniniwala akong ito ang tanging paraan upang makapagbigay ng mas magandang kinabukasan para sa aming pamilya.
Ang pagkakaloob po ng scholarship na ito ay magiging napakalaking tulong hindi lamang para sa aking pag-aaral kundi pati na rin sa pagpapagaan ng pasanin ng aking ina. Sisiguraduhin ko pong hindi masasayang ang tiwalang inyong ibibigay. Maraming salamat po sa pagbibigay pag-asa sa mga kabataang katulad ko.
