The Gold Eagle College Scholarship 2025-2026 is now officially open for application to all eligible incoming first-year college students in the Philippines. The Insular Foundation has recently announced the launch of this prestigious scholarship program for the upcoming school year.

What is the Gold Eagle College Scholarship?

The Gold Eagle College Scholarship is a financial assistance program by the Insular Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Insular Life. This program aims to support deserving and financially challenged students taking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses by providing them access to quality higher education and opportunities for personal growth.

Scholarship Benefits

Gold Eagle Scholars will receive the following support:

  • Financial Assistance every semester which includes:
    • Stipend
    • Transportation Allowance
    • Book Allowance
  • Cash Incentives for graduating with honors
  • Access to leadership training, capacity-building programs, and the Insular Foundation scholar network

Who can apply?

All incoming 1st year college students accepted at any of the Insular Foundation’s partner schools and pursuing STEM-related programs may apply for the scholarship.

What are the Partner Schools?

Applicants must be enrolled in any of the following 6 partner institutions:

  • Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT)
  • Benguet State University (BSU)
  • Bohol Island State University (BISU)
  • Central Mindanao University (CMU)
  • Davao Oriental State University (DORSU)
  • University of the Philippines – Diliman (UPD)

List of Priority Courses

Each partner school has a list of priority STEM courses for scholarship eligibility. These include:

  • Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Information Technology & Industrial Technology
  • Education majors in Math or Science
  • Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics
  • Forestry, Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering
  • And many more…

Number of Available Slots

A total of 26 slots are available for SY 2025-2026:

Three slots each for students enrolled at:

  • Aurora State College of Technology
  • Benguet State University
  • Bohol Island State University
  • Central Mindanao University
  • Davao Oriental State University

Eleven slots for UP Diliman:

  • Two for BS Mathematics
  • Four for BS Statistics
  • Five for any STEM-related course

Qualifications

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be an incoming 1st year student in any partner school
  • Be enrolled in one of the designated STEM courses
  • Have passed the school’s admission test
  • Have a GWA of 85% or above in Grade 11 and Grade 12 (1st or 2nd grading at minimum)
  • Be enrolled in at least 15 units during the semester of application
  • Have a combined gross annual income:
    • Not exceeding ₱500,000 for UP Diliman
    • Not exceeding ₱250,000 for provincial SUCs
  • Have no serious disciplinary violations
  • Not be a recipient of any other scholarship

Documentary Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Accomplished Application Form
  • 2×2 photo (white background)
  • Certified True Copy of Grade 11 & Grade 12 Report Cards
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Certified BIR ITR or Notarized Affidavit of Source of Income (Template below)
  • Certificate of Registration / Admission from partner school
  • ITR or Affidavit required from both parents, guardian, and siblings (if employed)

Who can apply for the Gold Eagle College Scholarship?

The scholarship is open to incoming 1st year college students who are enrolled in any of the approved STEM courses at one of the Insular Foundation’s six partner schools. Applicants must have passed their school’s admission test, maintain at least an 85% GWA in Grades 11 and 12, and must not be a current recipient of any other scholarship grant.
