Talented senior high school students who dream of becoming engineers, scientists, or technology experts can now apply for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026. The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) has officially opened its two scholarship programs:
- RA 7687 Scholarship – For students from economically disadvantaged families
- Merit Scholarship – For students with high academic achievement
These scholarships cover 4- to 5-year degree programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
DOST Scholarship Benefits
Scholars will receive the following:
- Tuition Fee – Up to ₱40,000 per year
- Monthly Living Allowance – ₱8,000
- Book Allowance – ₱10,000/year
- Uniform Allowance – ₱1,000 (first year only)
- Transportation Allowance – Roundtrip fare if studying outside home province
- Summer Allowance – If required by course
- Graduation Allowance – ₱1,000
- Group Insurance
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a Filipino citizen
- Be a Grade 12 student in SY 2024-2025
- Have high academic standing
- Intend to take up a DOST-priority S&T course at a recognized institution
- Meet the income requirement for RA 7687 (for economically disadvantaged applicants)

How to Apply for DOST Scholarship Online

- Sign up and verify via email.
- Complete the online application form.
- Download and print the form on 8.5″ x 13″ paper (6 sheets).
- Place the form and all requirements in a long brown envelope.
- Submit it to your nearest DOST Regional Office or Provincial Science & Technology Center.
- Pay the ₱200 Testing Fee (for Merit applicants only).
- Wait for your Test Permit and check your exam schedule.
