PhilSA AD ASTRA Scholarship 2025 | Now Accepting Applicants

The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) has officially opened applications for the AD ASTRA Scholarship 2025-2026 program. This initiative aims to support eligible college students and professionals pursuing advanced studies in Space Science, Technology, and Applications (SSTA).

Scholarship Overview
The AD ASTRA (Advanced Degrees for Accelerating Strategic Space R&D and Applications) Scholarship program is available for students entering the first semester intake (August to September 2025). It offers support for Master’s and Doctorate students specializing in space-related fields.
Types of Scholarships
- Full Scholarships: Comprehensive support covering tuition, fees, stipend, book allowance, technological support, transportation, thesis/dissertation/internship allowance, research grants, relocation, and mentoring.
- Partial/Loweral Scholarships: Partial financial support for space studies.
- Sandwich Scholarships: Support for students pursuing research or studies at both local and international Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Eligible Fields of Study
The scholarship prioritizes various courses, including:
- Space data applications, remote sensing, and geospatial technologies
- Climate studies, geophysics, geomatics, and satellite meteorology
- Astronomy, atmospheric science, spacecraft systems, and robotics
- Rocketry, aeronautics, IoRT, and space cybersecurity
- Space law, policy, international relations, and space tourism
- Multidisciplinary studies in materials science and engineering

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Filipino citizen in good health, not over 45 years old
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- No pending administrative or criminal cases
- No pending service obligations from previous scholarships
- Aligned research plan with PhilSA’s Key Development Areas
- Pass admission requirements of CHED-recognized HEIs
Application Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Cover letter, updated CV, passport photo, PSA birth certificate
- Medical certificate, NBI clearance
- Certified academic records, proof of acceptance
- Certificate of no pending service obligation
- Endorsement from the head of the agency (for government employees)
Application Process
Applications are accepted year-round through the Online Application Portal. Deadlines vary by program type:
- Local Graduate Scholarships: June 15 for the 1st semester
- Stand-alone Sandwich Programs: March 30
- Foreign Graduate Scholarships: August to December (current year) and January to July (following year)
